Personal Branding Photos at Events

Raef Granger at the Wentworth

Many of my branding photography clients are coaches of some sort. Frequently, I get requests for Branding shoots that show my client in action with their clients. A perfect way to achieve this is by coming to one of their events and photographing it.

A different environment can add to your brand identity.

Raef Granger, who happens to be an amazing business coach, did a corporate training event on communication. The event was held at the Wentworth Hotel in New Castle, New Hampshire - one of my favorite places with plenty of great photo opportunities. Getting professional photos of yourself, on location, shows your ideal audience that your are active and gives them a better idea of who you are and what you do. Raef needed photos of him in action interacting with his audience, as well as behind the scenes photos of his audience writing and working in teams. Raef also asked that we do some branding lifestyle shots and get a couple of headshots of him at the location.

Planning A Branding Shoot

In preparation for the event, Raef and I had several short meetings to talk about the types of photo he wanted. Together we prepared a shot list, talked about what he was ok with me doing while he was talking, what he was wearing and how to get the most out of this event. As is true with most things, planning is key.

Raef worked with Bri White who owns Vostra Moda - a talented stylist, who made suggestions to Raef about what he should wear during the session.

Planning a branding shoot, whether in-studio, or on location at an event, will result in photos that you not only like, but that you will gladly use on your website, printed material and social media.

Anyone can take photos, but it takes experience, planning and expertise to get you photos that you love. Want to learn more about how personal branding photos can help your business - book a quick, free call here.
